 The Small Scale Hydro Power Plant |
- The local Rio Bonito river crosses the propriety and, together with two other smaller water streams form the three valleys of the Rio Bonito Farm. The rivers meet at the centre of the Rio Bonito Farm where the Fishing Club house and restaurant are located. At a point the Rio Bonito river has a 94-meter fall, which enables the generation of 1.5 mega watt hydroelectric power through a small-scale hydro plant. With its two generators and turbines, the plant has an installed potential capacity of 360 KVA. A third turbine (Pelton wheel) is under construction with an additional capacity of 180 KVA. This generation capacity more than meets all the electricity requirements for lighting, industrial power, water heating of the Rio Bonito Farm.
